Ricciardetto

I tipici di Guido

scheda

Whilst rummaging in the kitchen of the Carthusian monastery of Belriguardo in Siena Guido discovers, in the recipe book of the ancient monks, a recipe and image of a biscuit similar to the famous Ricciarello in shape, but with different ingredients, therefore suitable for dipping during breakfast.
And since the Ricciarello was made notorious in Siena by the crusader Ricciardetto della Gherardesca, Guido decided to name it after him in his honor.
Its composition is mainly Italian almonds, butter and eggs. It has beneficial and stimulating properties.
